Spotlight: Participatory Culture Foundation
Make Internet TV is an extremely interactive site that provides step-by-step instructions for shooting, editing, and publishing online videos that can be watched and subscribed to by millions of people. Funded by the Knight Foundation and maintained by the folks that develop Miro, the site has become an invaluable resource for budding videographers.
Most of the requirements for the site revolved around the ability for users to navigate seamlessly from chapter to chapter. Each sub-page is chock-filled with information so the layout and readability was paramount. Keeping the user engaged as well as informed was a challenge, but the site has come through with flying colors.
Even though a lot of the original design is still intact, the site has been developed organically by the folks at Participatory Culture Foundation as requirements changed. The team has been diligent about updating the site and has grown it in to one of the most invaluable video resource sites
on the web.
45royale was awesome to work with; they listened carefully to what we were asking for, and the final product shows it. People consistently compliment me on the look of our site.
