What they needed
Since we come across all sorts of cool stuff during our travels around the internets, we decided we needed a place to collect and share all of this stuff in one place. From entertainment to libations to tech, Internet Gentleman offers the gentlemen of the internet a one-stop shop for all the things manly and modern.
What we did
Although coming up with content wouldn’t be a problem, we wanted to challenge ourselves to build a dynamic site that would be as easy to update as possible. One of the first things on our list was image management. We knew that we would have several sizes of the same image per article, so we implemented a PHP script that would change the size of the image automatically. This made posting a breeze, which after all, was one of the most important requirements before we started the build. Add a little more PHP magic, a highly customized WordPress back-end and great content and we were looking at the makings of a successful men’s site.
The result
Since this was an internal project through our sister company Human Binary, we took our time getting the design and development just right. Sometimes we don’t have that luxury with client work. But in this case, we were so pleased with the outcome that we’ll be incorporating the site’s structure into several other web properties soon. Keep an eye out!
