What they needed

When we say this project had a tight deadline, we really mean tight. We were approached by Down With Webster’s management just a few weeks before they were due to launch their latest album, Time To Win, Vol. 1. With a solid list of requirements and a firm grasp on what they were looking for, we signed on to design and build a site that would fit their needs both now and into the future.

What we did

Based on DWW’s requirements, we quickly determined that a unique design and custom CMS were in order. We also knew that pleasing seven band members and two managers could be a bit challenging. While preparing the design, we scoured over band photos, listened to their music and explored their existing content to determine the best course to take. After spending some time on a couple different ideas, we came up with a treatment that we thought complimented the band’s creative image. To our surprise, all nine stakeholders loved the direction we took and signed off on the design immediately. From there, all that was left was to build out a custom WordPress back-end that would make it easy for everyone to add blog content, videos, photos and tour dates. Mission accomplished.

The result

Even though the time line was hectic, we ended up providing DWW with a design that was current, thoughtful and cohesive—all the while giving them the ability to add new content and band information with ease. There is still a lot more planned for the site, but for now we’ve given DWW a platform to connect with their fan base and generate content at the speed of their creativity.
