If you're a computer geek like we are, it's hard to forget the first time you laid eyes on an incredible Alienware PC. The case design, the processing power, the gaming prowess—it's all stuff of nerd lore. So when they contacted us about updating their site at Alienware.com we were honored to lend a helping hand. Plus, how could we say no to a trip to Miami?

What they needed
Since forming in 1996, Alienware has positioned itself as a leader in high-performance PC gaming. However, while their systems were top of the line, their site needed a lot of work to bring it up to modern standards.
What we did
Although Alienware already had a staff of awesome graphic designers and flash developers, they brought us on-site to the Alienware headquarters in Miami, FL to work with their web team on how to improve the look and usability of the site. The goal was to make choosing a product easy from the moment a customer entered the site through to the final stages of their purchase. This meant we needed to take a look at everything from the layout of the individual product pages, configuration screens, shopping cart, and payment screens. In fact, as we went through the site, we were able to provide them with wireframes that allowed them to restructure other sections of the site including Learn, Community, and Company, to name a few.
The result
Although some elements (and staff) have changed since we concluded in the project in 2008, the site has improved dramatically from the original version and we’re happy that a lot of our work is evident in the final release.
