Chester French has been getting a lot of attention lately and has even landed on several “Artists to Watch” lists recently. They have been working on a full length album called Love the Future for some time now which will be out in the spring. But for now, you can check out their 6-song She Loves Everybody EP on Amazon or iTunes. Here’s a brief biography excerpt from their Wikipedia page:
Chester French is an American pop music band consisting of two members, Maxwell Drummey and D.A. Wallach. They met as college students at Harvard University, naming their band after sculptor Daniel Chester French, who designed the statue at the Lincoln Memorial, the John Harvard statue, as well as the Minuteman statue at the Lexington/Concord battlegrounds in Massachusetts. Kanye West originally offered a record contract deal with the band, but they rejected it in favor of a competing offer from The Neptunes’s Star Trak Entertainment imprint, a subsidiary of Interscope Records and Universal Music Group.
Saw them in concert while they opened up for N.E.R.D. They’re definitely a band that’s much better to see live.
Thanks for the comment, Dennis!
I’ve heard that about them, that they’re a great live act. I need to look around the interwebs to see if there’s any video footage from one of their shows. I’ll post it to the blog here if I find anything worthwhile.
I love this song, I think I’ve been to your site about 100 times to stream it.. keep it coming :D
