CSS Reboot

As promised in an earlier post I have decided to get on board with the Fall CSS Reboot. After watching the May Reboot and seeing how much fun people had with it, I decided that I would participate this time around.
For those of you who don’t know, the CSS Reboot was created as a way for web professionals to realize the potential of their site by designing with web standards. What started off as “an idea in a blog post” grew exponentially and eventually became so popular that organizer and creator B. Adam Howell just had to do it again. On May 1st, 203 rebooters launched their new standards-based sites, sky-rocketing the popularity of the CSS Reboot site and the participants. This year is shaping up to triple or even quadruple that number with currently 719 folks signed up to join in the festivities.
It might seem a little strange that I would be involved in the CSS Reboot since my site is already optimized with XHTML and CSS. The reason I have signed up is because I have learned so much more about XHTML and CSS in the past 6-7 months and it’s high time that I optimize my code. Although everything is standards compliant and validates properly, I have found that I did a lot of double-work at the beginning of my adventure with web standards and could really use a full site make-over. Not to mention I have been working on new site redesign that I hope will not only be visually appealing, but will bring more of the content to the fore-front.
