Our first SXSW is a success!
So we’ve made it back safely from Austin, Texas and have successfully conquered our first experience with SXSWi. The past few days have been some of the most informative, inspirational and awe-inspiring in recent memory. Just seeing all of the panels and professionalism (or lack-there-of) has left us jazzed and ready to stop making excuses and just create.
The first panel that we attended definitely set the tone for the festival and really sparked our creativity and interest right off the bat. Jason Santa Maria and Rob Weychert (sans Cameron Moll) gave a wonderful presentation on design inspiration and how to recognize it and relate it to every day life and experiences. This panel in particular sparked a couple personal (and not so personal) projects that we hope to get off the ground in the near future. The podcast for After the Brief: A Field Guide to Design Inspiration can be found here, along with others and more that should be updated soon.
We have uploaded a few of the pictures we took while in Austin for your viewing pleasure. We’re really looking forward to the coming months as we have a few cool ideas that have “hatched” from the event. For now it’s back to work, but we have some newly released client work we’ll be showcasing soon. Stay tuned!
